FITS file, visualize an IMAGE_HDU

You can bring hst-img-2010x1890.fits from here : hst-img-2010x1890.fits.

and deposit the file in your document directory (see Data files).

Then start ioda and select the file with :

     Files -> .fits -> hst-img-2010x1890.fits

Whence selected you should see the list of HDUs.

Here there is one, an IMAGE_HDU. Select it. Then ioda proposes to see the keys or to visualize the image.

Choose "keys". You should see :

When doing "back" and choosing "vis", ioda proposes you a default "lookup table" (a LUT) in the LUT panel :

Change the "max" value by activating the max "entry area" (having 1 in it) and then entering "0.3" with the numeric panel :

Then activate "Ok" in the LUT panel. You should see :

From here you can map the user interface by activating the bottom screen/window area. Then activate the "Home" button and the "out.jpg" to produce a out.jpg JPEG file of the picture.
